New: DK Large Mammal (Pachyderm) Bar
We have added a new product to our range: DK Large Mammal (Pachyderm) Bar. This bar has been specially developed for pachyderms: elephants, rhinos and hippos. As these animals can often be fed individually, a tailor-made product can be made for them, allowing precise dosing of vitamins and minerals. As a result, only a small proportion of the diet needs to consist of this supplement, leaving enough space to offer sufficient roughage, the main source of fibre for these animals.
The composition of this product has been specially developed to compensate for any deficiencies in roughage. We have collected data from analyses of roughage together with zoos. Based on this data, we have developed a concentrated product including:
- Sufficient minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, manganese, copper, iodine and selenium.
- Higher levels of biotin because this vitamin is important for skin and leg health.
- Vitamin E and higher amount, this vitamin is important as an antioxidant and plays a role in reproduction.
